Bernice Parker, a Spanish-Norman breeder located at McTaggart, Saskatchewan, Canada recently sent us this lovely photo of HANZEL, her 6 yr. old, 18 hh Spanish Norman gelding that she shows in hunters. Bernice writes...      "HANZEL is absolutely my dream horse!" The Saskatchewan Horse Federation just sent out the results from the 2011 Heritage Classic awards for each Zone area, and in Zone 1 we received Hack Champion, as well as Hunter Champion. At our last show of the season he won the Handy Hunter Challenge and received a cooler." "We are very proud of him and we're nominated again this year. He has had many other wins and placings at every show he's went to. He's already made a great debut at one larger schooling show where there were over 40 horses in the hunter classes and placed 3rd on to 5th placings. No one knew what breed he was so we had lots of interest in the Spanish Norman. He always gets a lot of attention where ever he goes. He has such a kind gentle nature about him he has gone to a nursing home last year to visit residents. He also enjoys giving lessons to young children and he has had as many as 4 kids sitting on him at once.. He is just the kindest gentlest soul. Love this boy to pieces!"
