Spotlight Article on the SPANISH-NORMAN HORSE in April 2013 USDF Connection Magazine!
The Spanish-Norman Horse Registry, Inc. is pleased to announce that the United States Dressage Federation's official publication "USDF Connection" has spotlighted the Spanish-Norman breed in the April 2013 issue of the magazine.
The Spanish-Norman gelding "Monarch's Thor" and trainer Keith Angstadt are featured in the article. Owned by Sandra Austin of MIddleton, Massachusetts, Monarch's Thor has won ribbons and high-score awards in Third and Fourth Level at prestigious dressage competitions in New England.
As an incentive for Spanish-Norman Horse owners to participate and be recognized in dressage competitions, the Spanish-Norman Horse Registry affiliated with the USDF All Breeds awards program in 2012. This affiliation offers an excellent opportunity to promote the accomplishments of Spanish-Norman horses and riders in dressage through their participation in this program.
The Spanish-Norman Horse Registry recognizes the champion, reserve champion and up to five placings in each level of the open division: Training Level through Grand Prix, as well as all optional categories including Dressage Sport Horse Breeding, Vintage Cup (riders 50 years and older), Adult Amateur, Junior/Young Rider, and Musical Freestyle.
All-Breeds award eligibility requirements include USDF membership and horse registrations with both USDF and the Spanish-Norman Horse Registry. Medals for champions and reserve champions are awarded at the USDF Salute Gala and Annual Awards Banquet or will be mailed by USDF.
Congratulations to the first USDF 2012 Spanish-Norman Award winner "Bracchus" and owner/rider Kristin Hermann of Coventry Equestrian Center, Washington, Pennsylvania. More news on their success will be forthcoming in the near future on the Spanish-Norman website.
